Biotech Sales Director – 8 years of experience

Intact Genomics (IG®) is a fast-growing, ISO 13485:2016-certified, small biotechnology company specializing in high-efficiency competent cells, molecular biology reagents, enzymes, isothermal amplification technologies, and custom molecular biology services. Founded in 2013, Intact Genomics is located in a beautiful, safe, and quiet suburb of St. Louis — an emerging center for biotechnology and life science innovation. The company has developed more than 100 products and technologies serving leading pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and biotechnology organizations worldwide.

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven, talented Sales Director to accelerate revenue growth and expand strategic customer relationships across our product and service portfolio. The successful candidate will lead sales and business development initiatives, develop and execute strategic sales plans, manage key customer and distributor relationships, and identify new market opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong life science sales experience, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record in biotechnology, molecular biology, or life science product sales.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company revenue goals
  • Lead and manage domestic and international sales activities, including proactive outreach to existing and prospective customers. Generate quotations and follow up on leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic, and industrial customers
  • Expand and manage distributor, OEM, and strategic partner relationships
  • Identify new market opportunities for enzymes, competent cells, molecular biology reagents, and custom services
  • Collaborate with R&D and marketing teams to support product launches, promotional campaigns, and customer engagement initiatives
  • Monitor sales performance, forecasts, pipelines, and customer trends to optimize business growth
  • Negotiate pricing, OEM, contracts, and strategic business agreements
  • Attend scientific conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales reporting systems
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and support sales team members as the company continues to grow

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field (Ph.D. preferred), or a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or Business with strong knowledge of molecular biology products and workflows
  • Minimum 8 years of sales or business development experience in life sciences or biotechnology
  • Experience selling molecular biology reagents, enzymes, competent cells, diagnostic products, bulk sales/OEM services, or custom molecular biology services is strongly preferred
  • Existing network within biotech, pharmaceutical, CRO, or academic research markets is highly desirable
  • Excellent sales, verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and coworkers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and familiarity with CRM and sales management tools
  • Familiarity with Google Ads, Google Analytics, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, WordPress, Mailchimp, and other digital marketing tools is a plus
  • Primarily an on-site inside sales role, with opportunities for limited outside sales and occasional travel

Biotech Sales Representative – 3 years of experience

Intact Genomics is seeking a motivated, energetic, and results-driven Sales Representative to help expand our customer base, strengthen client relationships, and support sales and marketing activities for our growing product portfolio. The successful candidate will promote and sell Intact Genomics products and services to academic, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and industrial customers worldwide.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and passionate about biotechnology and scientific sales. This position also offers opportunities to contribute to digital marketing, branding, and online business development initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Intact Genomics products and services to new and existing customers
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through email, phone calls, virtual meetings, and in-person visits
  • Generate quotations, follow up on leads, and support order processing
  • Identify new sales opportunities and expand customer accounts
  • Support distributor and OEM partner communications
  • Attend scientific conferences, trade shows, and networking events
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to support product launches and promotional activities
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity reports
  • Assist with website updates, email marketing campaigns, and digital marketing activities as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

Research Associates

Intact Genomics is seeking research associates to join our innovative, dynamic team and contribute to the production and development of novel life science research tools.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist Ph.D. scientists with experiments. Perform common molecular biology techniques such as E. coli cultures, protein/enzyme expression, DNA/RNA extractions, DNA/RNA purification, DNA cloning, bacterial transformation, vector construction, PCR, and RT-qPCR, DNA sequencing including next-generation sequencing, etc.
  • Follow SOPs to make competent cells, enzymes and other products. Follow recipes and protocols to prepare media, buffers and solutions.
  • Execute inventory control of reagents, chemicals, and supplies using proper labeling and computerized systems.
  • Collect, record and report experimental data. Participate in team meetings and experimental protocols and SOPs writing.
  • Maintains lab order and cleanliness. Set-up, operate and maintain lab equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related biological sciences field. About 2 years of work experience in molecular biology industry or research area is preferred, but not required.
  • Academic and practical experience in performing molecular biology skills including general cloning, minipreps, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and etc.
  • Basic sterile technique. Experienced in a laboratory environment with safe work practices, including handling of bacteria and hazardous chemicals.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and English written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Attention to details and ability to meet deadlines. Able to follow established protocols and assist with development of new protocols.
  • Highly self-motivated, ability to work independently and within a diverse team environment.
