Available Positions
Research Associate
Intact Genomics is seeking full-time research associates to join our innovative, dynamic team and contribute to the production and development of novel life science research tools.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Ph.D. scientists with experiments. Perform common molecular biology techniques such as E. coli cultures, protein/enzyme expression, DNA/RNA extractions, DNA/RNA purification, DNA cloning, bacterial transformation, vector construction, PCR, and RT-qPCR, DNA sequencing including next-generation sequencing, etc.
- Follow SOPs to make competent cells, enzymes and other products. Follow recipes and protocols to prepare media, buffers and solutions.
- Execute inventory control of reagents, chemicals, and supplies using proper labeling and computerized systems.
- Collect, record and report experimental data. Participate in team meetings and experimental protocols and SOPs writing.
- Maintains lab order and cleanliness. Set-up, operate and maintain lab equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related biological sciences field. About 2 years of work experience in molecular biology industry or research area is preferred, but not required.
- Academic and practical experience in performing molecular biology skills including general cloning, minipreps, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and etc.
- Basic sterile technique. Experienced in a laboratory environment with safe work practices, including handling of bacteria and hazardous chemicals.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and English written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Attention to details and ability to meet deadlines. Able to follow established protocols and assist with development of new protocols.
- Highly self-motivated, ability to work independently and within a diverse team environment.
Scientist
Intact Genomics is seeking a highly motivated and innovative scientist to join our team now. The successful candidate will potentially lead a new division at Intact Genomics to expand the use of its Fungal Artificial Chromosome technology in pharmaceutical and agricultural discovery.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work at the bench performing scientific experiments including but not limited to molecular cloning, FAC transformation, PCR, qPCR, Illumina library prep, and sequencing.
- Work with software to perform de novo sequencing, assembling, and maintain and expand in-house microbial sequence-Biosynthetic Gene Cluster (BGC)-Natural Product (NP) databases.
- Write experimental protocols, summary reports and analytical methods. Contribute to the company’s intellectual property portfolio, scientific presentations, and publications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Master or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years experiences in biotechnology or pharmaceutical research. Experience in small molecule or natural product chemistry and biosynthesis is preferred.
- Excellent bioinformatics and computer-skills. Proficiency in SQL, Python or other programming language. Familiar with scripts writing and Linux system are required.
- Experienced in de novo whole genome assembling with NGS data, annotation, antiSMASH, blasts, and data analysis to mine biosynthetic gene clusters or pathways of secondary metabolites from microbes and metagenomes for natural products and drugs discovery.
- Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills are Writing experience with publications or grant is a plus.

Office Assistant
We are seeking a full-time Office Assistant to join our innovative and dynamic team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform administrative and routine clerical tasks.
- Updating paperwork, maintaining documents, and word processing.
- Helping organize and maintain office common areas.
- Answer phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate party.
- Monitor and manage inventory of supplies; order and distribute supplies as necessary. Receive and record packages, stock supplies.
- Pack and label of products for shipment and help maintain inventory.
- Record and collect data.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 year of associate degree in business administration, or marketing or biology or other area.

Sales Representative
Intact Genomics (IG®) is a leading provider of high-quality life science products and large DNA fragment cloning related services. All our products are developed, manufactured and shipped from our state-of-the-art laboratories in St, Louis, Missouri. Intact Genomics has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Representative to join our team now. Prospective candidates will help the company expand sales to academic universities, research institutes, and biotechnology related corporations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively contact existing and prospective customers to close new & repeat business, cross sell additional IG products, obtain forecast information, and gather customer feedback.
- Responsibility for customer relationship management including quotations, forecasting and assessing other customer requirements.
- Assess complex customer needs to escalate to appropriate Commercial Sales and/or Technical Support as appropriate.
- Document customer interactions and opportunities, maintain account and contact details in CRM system (currently Zoho CRM).
- Host/attend table shows, conferences, meetings, and industry events. Make presentations of company products and services to potential customers.
- Prepare sales data and progress reports. Maintain and expand customer database.
- Assist the Sales Director with various sales tasks as assigned, including making invoices, packaging and logistic for sales, and miscellaneous inventory management items.
- Position is full-time, 40 hours per week, working from our offices in Creve Coeur.
- Primarily inside sales, with opportunities for some limited outside sales.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate should have a BA or BS degree in Marketing, or Life Science related field with strong Molecular Biology and Biochemistry knowledge to allow for a better understanding of the broad variation of customer applications in order to uncover sales potential.
- 2+ years of sales or marketing experiences in biotech or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate to all levels of customers and employees in a cordial, professional manner.
- Extraordinary attention to customer and procedural detail, commitment to accuracy, and build customer relationships.

Digital Marketing Specialist
Intact Genomics is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our innovative, dynamic team and assist the sales team in their efforts to market and sell Molecular Biology related products. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the sales team with collecting sales leads along with day-to-day maintenance of Intact Genomics’ digital marketing channels including websites, email campaigns and social media accounts.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help planning creation and updates of digital marketing campaigns including email campaign, website, SEO/SEM, social media and other marketing tools
- Monitoring, measuring and reporting on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns
- Work with the sales team to gather leads through online research

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- College student with a 3.0 or above GPA. Pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, business, digital media, journalism or related degree
